Welcome

The Plano Children's Medical Clinic and Wylie Children's Medical Clinic are more than just health care providers, they are lifelines of hope. Our mission is to provide high quality primary medical care to all children in need.

Plano Children’s Medical Clinic was started in 1991 when a local pediatrician and school nurse who were working with young patients in the Head Start Program recognized a need for medical care for children of low income families with no insurance. The clinic first opened on Wednesdays and Thursdays in October of 1991 in a small house provided by First Baptist Church of Plano. The church has since donated the land and a spacious new building was built through collaborative efforts with the local Rotary Clubs, individuals and generous volunteers. A similar need was identified in the Wylie area and so the Wylie Childrens Medical Clinic was opened in 2009. Funding is sustained by grants, church and civic group donations, corporate support, state funding, foundations and individual donors.

The clinics are staffed by doctors, nurses, medical assistants, translators and office personnel who are all dedicated to ensuring that every patient receives the best care possible. Each staff member strives to make a difference for the children of our community and their families. Over 100,000 children have been seen by our healthcare providers for well-visits, sick-care and immunizations. The clinic serves children who are on Medicaid, CHIP or have no insurance.

Your donation to Plano and Wylie Children’s Medical Clinics will keep our doors open for the children in need and the healthier tomorrow they deserve.

The clinics provide:
  • Full sick visits
  • Full well check-ups/visits
  • Sports physicals
  • Immunizations
